Dr. Tim Verharen
Dr. Tim graduated dental school in 1997. He spent his first 7 years of practice working with a community dental center, providing essential care to the underserved populations of Kitsap and Grays Harbor counties. Here, he picked up many of the concepts he uses for trauma sensitive patients today. Governor Gregoire recognized him with the “Governor’s Volunteer Service Award” in 2009.
Outside of work, Dr. Tim has an intense love for sailing. He recently completed a race from Victoria, Canada to Maui, Hawaii, which took 10 days and 20 hours to complete. Though their boat broke down 2,300 miles in, leaving them stranded in the middle of the ocean (something he says is about one of the scariest things that can happen to a person!), he doesn’t plan on giving up sailing anytime soon. He remains an active member of the Port Madison Yacht Club.
Dr. Christine Marshall
Christine Marshall grew up in Bremerton, WA and went to Central Kitsap High School, graduating in 1981. After working as a dental assistant for 15 years, she obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry, graduating in the top 10% of her class in 1996. That makes a total of 42 years of work in the dental field. Dr. Marshall was voted Best Dentist in Belfair and Mason County in 2016 by the Kitsap Sun and Shelton Journal. Dr. Marshall enjoys gardening and geology in her spare time.
Dr. Marshall is owner and operator of Rancho Escondido, a coffee farm/Eco-Adventure Resort that specializes in Shade Grown Aribica Coffee in the mountains of Costa Rica. Dr. Marshall is also the founder of Pangea Dental, a non-profit agency which has provided free dental care and education in developing countries.
Alexis
Office Manager
Alexis has been in the dental field since 2003. She is very passionate about dentistry and overall health. She enjoys building professional relationships with patients and ensuring that they receive the best dental care available.
Outside of the office Alexis spends most of her time caring for her 2 daughters and her dog! She also volunteers with Bremerton Parks and Recreation. She enjoys cooking and travel. She expresses her artistic side as a member of the West Sound Arts Council.
Alisha
Receptionist
Alisha has been in the dental field since 2006. She started out as an assistant in the orthodontic field and she has transferred to front office. She enjoys patient interaction and welcoming guests with a positive attitude. She executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Outside of the office, Alisha enjoys camping, cooking, and spending quality time with her friends, family and especially her dog Sasha who keeps her very busy.
Alma-May
Dental Hygienist
Alma has been an integral part of the Current Dental team ever since graduating from Eastern Washington University in 2016. The most rewarding aspect of her job is to build personal relationships with her patients while providing optimal dental care.
Alma-May enjoys spending quality time with her son and husband outdoors fishing, camping, and skiing. In her free time she enjoys cooking and self care. Alma would soon like to take up gardening. Her long term goal is to explore our forever changing world.
Kaysey
Certified Dental Assistant and Phlebotomist
Kaysey has been a part of the Current Dental team since August 2016. Her job means everything to her; patient care and interacting with patients is the most rewarding part of her job. She graduated from Renton Technical College with her CDA in 2016. She got her Phlebotomy Certification in 2023. She knew from a very young age that this was the career for her! Current Dental is like "home" to her, she could not have asked for a better team to work with.
When Kaysey is not at work you can catch her being a mom to her three beautiful children. Creating everyday an adventure is what keeps her motivated. Her and her family enjoy living on the edge, and exploring nature as well as riding dirt bikes! They also enjoy raising their bunny and two dogs!
Betty
Certified Dental Assistant
Betty, originally is from Mexico and moved to the states in 2008. She became a registered dental assistant in 2012. With the opportunity to have worked in both countries in Community Health and Private Practice.
English being her second language has challenged and motivated her to constantly learn and be better at what she does. She is caring with patients, reliable, and committed to her duties in providing dental care.
Outside the office, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family spending quality time watching movies and TV shows.
