Project Houston: Helping The Victims of Hurricane Harvey
Natural disasters can bring terrible devastation to families, businesses and infrastructure. Many of our staff have family in Houston, so the city is close to our hearts. That’s why we came together to form Project Houston: a mission to provide relief to the displaced in the Houston area. Our Office Manager Diane promoted this cause on Bainbridge Community Broadcasting.
Providing Material Relief
After a destructive natural disaster such as Hurricane Harvey, there is a desperate need for toiletry items. Current Dental worked with our patients, friends, and local community to collect these practical items for those displaced by the storm. Requested items included:
- Adult and children’s tooth brushes
- Toothpaste, dental floss and mouthwash
- Bar and body soaps
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Hand sanitizer
- Kleenexes (small packs)
- Combs
- Bandaids
- Nail clippers
- Wash cloths and towels
- Deodorant
- Men’s razors and shave cream
- Women’s razors and shave gel
- Small toys and stickers
- Cards and notes for victims

All items were shipped to the Houston Convention Center, where they were distributed by our disaster relief partner, Houston Recovers. We thank you for your generosity and for helping to have made Project Houston a huge success!
